My new blog coming soon!

I'm working on my new blog, which should be live in the next few days. It has more features and allows me to embed video and show larger images and a whole bunch of other little technical things. Life is good and my next wedding is March 27th, which is the Getaway Groom wedding at Woodborough Hall hosted by Trent FM and Tillyboo Events. I'm really looking forward to it and the bride and groom are super cool and so lucky to have won a £60,000 wedding!

This is the first of 25 weddings until December! I still have a few dates left for 2008 so please get in touch if you need Nottingham's finest to photograph your wedding:-)

This is a photo of my little brother and I in Mexico in the early eighties with my first camera around my neck. Polaroid's were awesome; there was nothing better than taking a photo and watching it come out the bottom! Even better was waiting that few minutes while it exposed itself on the Polaroid.

Hopefully my next entry will be on my new blog! Adios!

One of my favourites I took of Elle over the Christmas holidays in Spain.

I used my Canon 5D, shutter speed 1/3200 sec, aperture f4, manual exposure mode, iso 200, metering mode was spot metering and lens Canon 70-200 L IS 2.8

Lotta Gold

This image of Lotta just won a Gold Award with the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the British Professional Photographers Association. Gold Awards will go forward to the annual judging and are deemed to be images of the highest standard and will be published in Professional Imagemaker.

Thanks Lotta for being a great model. Another one for the wall.

Sherwood Forest

Today Ilona and I decided to go for a long walk in Sherwood Forest. I obviously took the camera as it was such a beautiful day. We walked for a few hours, stopping every once in awhile to take a photo. I then played around with them in Photoshop with some of my new actions and HDR techniques. No flash, reflector or tripod was used, just my beautiful Canon 5D and Canon 16-35 L Lens.

Image of the day

I have been extremely busy lately finishing up my new website and taking bookings for this year and 2009. My first wedding adventure is on February 2nd in a beautiful stately home in the Nottinghamshire countryside. 2008 is going to be an amazing year, I will be meeting new friends, seeing new places and capturing beautiful moments for my clients. I will be conducting a few workshops at the end of the year for photographers who want to learn about creating BIG EFFECTS WITH little FLASHES... Stay tuned.

I'll be taking limited bookings for the rest of 2008 so if you would like to book me for your wedding or a portrait shoot please get in touch ASAP.

I love photography because being that we are in constant motion, moments pass and then cease to exist again. The photograph suspends life for us. You need only to look to relive.

Yesterday I enjoyed a great photo shoot with brother and sister Tayla and Ethan. Their parents commissioned me to photograph them at Wollaton Park. I love Wollaton Park for portrait sessions, as there are so many beautiful locations to choose from. The two of them were extremely photogenic which made for beautiful portraits that the family will cherish forever.

I hope everybody had a great Christmas and New Year. We spent the holidays in Spain and had a very relaxing time. While in Spain I was commissioned to photograph Josh and Ellie on the beach and mountains of the Costa del Sol. We had a great time and hopefully we'll do it again sometime. The photos are rockin! Looking forward to my first wedding adventure for 2008 on February 2nd.

Wedding Ideas Magazine

In June I photographed the beautiful wedding of Anna and Steven in Marbella. The wedding has been featured in the January issue of Wedding Ideas magazine.

On Sunday Ilona and I are off to Spain to visit the in-laws. I will be shooting a few child portrait sessions on the beach, which I'm really looking forward to. Have a Merry Christmas and a great New Year. I will be checking my e-mails every day so if you need anything let me know.

Yesterday I was commissioned by Alex's parents to photograph their beautiful daughter. We had a great day and I want to thank Alex for being such a terrific model and also thank you to Alex's mum Trish for being my assistant for the day.

Alex wants to be the next Kate Moss and by looking at the photos that shouldn't be hard. Her back up plan is golf and reckons she would give Tiger Woods a run for his money as she has been playing since the age of 3.

I should have my new signature child portrait website completed by the end of January. If you're interested in a session please contact me ASAP as dates book up fast.
